The short version

emme exists so you can understand yourself — not so anyone else can. Your account is a username, not an identity. Your reflections build your profile, and you can export or delete everything at any time. We do not sell your data, ever.

What we collect

  • Account: a username you choose (we ask you to pick something not personally identifiable), a nickname, a password, and — only if you add it — an email used solely for essential communication.
  • Reflections: what you speak or type. Voice recordings are processed to build your profile. Audio is retained temporarily to improve processing and is scheduled for automatic deletion.
  • Your profile: the emotional dimensions, patterns, and relationship map emme derives from your reflections — visible to you in the app.

How it’s used

Reflections are analyzed by an AI service to produce your emotional profile. Analysis happens server-side; the results exist for you alone. A small operations team can access stored data strictly to run and improve the service — every such access is logged.

What we never do

  • Sell or share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
  • Contact anyone on your behalf.
  • Use your reflections to train models for other users without your explicit consent.
  • Diagnose you. emme provides context, never a verdict, and is not a medical service.

Your controls

  • Delete a reflection — removes its transcript and audio.
  • Delete your account — permanently removes your profile, reflections, and conversation history.
  • Recovery code — account recovery works without email or phone; your recovery code is stored only as a hash and shown to you exactly once.
